General FAQ

Are your children’s costumes safe?

Unlike many types of children's clothing, the manufacturers of our children's costumes conform to the more rigorous flammability requirements of European Standard EN71-2. We welcome and will support all future Government safety guidelines and initiatives.

Do I have to pay VAT?

All our prices show the prices excluding VAT and including VAT. You do have to pay VAT on the goods. However if you are VAT registered with HMRC, you can claim that VAT back. There are some exceptions to this rule, for instance, if ordering from the Channel Islands.

Why does it cost more for delivery to Northern Ireland, Highlands of Scotland etc?

The cost of delivering to the Highlands of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the outlying Islands is much greater than delivering to an address in England, Wales or the Scottish Lowlands. We therefore have to pass this cost on to keep the prices of our goods as low as possible.

How will my order arrive?

This depends on the weight of your order and how you have chosen it to be delivered. We use Royal Mail First Class, Second Class, Royal Mail Special Delivery and Parcel Force. A signature will be required for Parcel Force and Special Delivery.

Are you able to order-in a specific product for me?

We hold thousands of products in our warehouse but we may not have the exact thing you need. But don’t worry, we can get hold of most balloons or balloon accessories you could possibly want from all the major manufacturers. If you don’t see it on the website, drop us a line and we will try to source it for you.

Can I visit in person even if I’m not a trade customer?

Yes. We are open to both the public and trade customers.

Can I pay by cheque?

Yes you can pay by cheque, but the goods will not be dispatched until the funds have cleared, which can take up to seven days.

I have ordered the wrong product, what should I do?

If you have ordered the incorrect item you have 14 days to return the product in the same condition it was received (in display package, undamaged and in re-sellable condition). However we do ask that you notify us via email at your earliest convenience to inform us.

Is there other ways to order apart from your website?

Yes, for general shop orders we are able to take them via phone on 01257 795150 or email; printing and personalised goods email: if you are local to us our store is open to public and trade 6 days a week.

Where’s my order?

If orders are placed before 3pm Mon – Fri and we have the goods in stock, they are normally sent out the same day. However the time taken to deliver depends on the chosen delivery method. If the item is out of stock you will receive an email from a member of staff informing you and offering you a similar replacement or a new expected delivery time.

What constitutes someone ‘In the Trade’?

To be eligible for a trade account with you will need to be someone who uses balloons to make a profit. For example event organisers, florists, balloon decorators, entertainers, party shops, independent retailers etc. If your job description does not fit into any of those categories please fill in the application and someone will be in touch.

Printing FAQ

What balloon shapes and sizes do you have?

We have latex balloons in standard balloon shape. Standard sizes include 10 inch, 11 inches and 12 inches. Our foil balloons come in round, heart and star shapes, these range between 18 inches and 36 inches. If you can't find what you want, please ask.

Can we get photos printed on some balloons?

Yes! We can print photos in black and white. Proofs cannot be issued on photo print balloons.

What accessories will I need?

If you are filling your balloons with helium, you may need ribbon and weights. For latex air-filled balloons, you might want some cups & sticks and an air-pump! See our products section for more details call us on 01257795150

Can we get helium delivered too?

Yes, if you want your printed balloons to float you will need to fill them with helium. We can deliver disposable helium canisters along with your balloon order.

Do you print on Giant balloons?

We can print on huge three foot latex balloons or giant 36 inch foil balloons! Contact us for prices! Lead times may vary.

Should I get my balloons printed with the next down or the neck up (on top)?

Balloons printed neck down are suitable for helium fill or air-fill to mounted on a 'cup & stick'. Balloons printed with neck up would be ideal for use as decorations hanging downwards without the use of helium.

How will my balloons be delivered?

Your balloons and accessories will be delivered by courier There is a small delivery charge which will be included in your quote.

How can we send our design or logo to you?

We prefer your artwork in a PDF. Or JPG. This can be uploaded via the request quotation form. Once your order is being processed we are able to send you a visual for approval.

How are they printed?

For the brightest colours, incredible accuracy and presentation, our printed balloons are printed on laser guided, silk screen printing machines.

Can we have more than one image on a balloon ?

Of course. We can print on two sides of the Balloon if needs be but this will restrict you to a one colour print. You can also add text.

How many balloons can you print?

There is no limit to the amount of balloons we can print, however we have a minimum order of 25 for latex 5 for foils.

What colours are available for my logo or design?

You choose the colour! We will print it!

What’s the difference between latex and foil balloons?

Latex balloons are suitable for air or helium fill, these can be used with cups and sticks as well as valves and ribbon. They will float for about 12 hours when filled with helium. Foils can last for up to a week and are a bigger coming in different shapes - hearts, rounds and stars.

What colour balloons can I have?

Have a look in our products section for our range of balloon colours. If you can't find the colour you want, ask us and we should be able to help!

How many colours can we get printed on our balloons?

You can choose up to eight colours to print on one side of latex balloons subject to artwork approval. If you print on two sides you are limited to one colour only. Balloon printing is not like printing on paper, we must have separations between inks. Again the foil are different you can only have up to two colours per side.

How quickly can we get our printed balloons delivered?

For latex balloons, we can get them printed and dispatched within 5 working days. If you need them quicker, give us a ring and we'll see what we can do (There may be an additional charge for express service). Foils however take a little longer and can be printed and dispatched within 10 working days.

Why do I have to provide my email and contact telephone number – and what happens to these details?

You will be contacted via email from the courier to confirm your order, they will also notify you when your order has been dispatched, therefore it is crucial we have a valid mobile phone contact number and you regularly check your emails. Your information is used solely by and will not be passed on to third parties.

How do I pay?

We accept most major credit and debit cards. Online payments are processed securely online using the Internet security payment provider Payment Sense, which ensures that all information is encrypted and all security measures are in place to ensure protection of your details.

What is Helium?

Helium is the gas used to fill the balloons and make them float. Helium is a lighter than air gas, it is non toxic; non- flammable; odour and colourless. However, Helium is an asphyxiant and should never be inhaled.

How long will my Helium balloons last?

With the right care and attention your balloon will float for 3-5 days. In the right conditions it may even last weeks!
Your balloon is filled with Helium gas and is sensitive to extreme temperature changes. This means it might appear deflated in cold air – to resolve the problem simply place your balloon somewhere warm and it will expand again. Please remember to keep your balloons away from extreme heat, as this could cause the Helium to expand and the balloon burst.
Important note: Foil balloons may conduct electricity and should not be released outside or used near overhead power lines. Always keep the weight attached to the balloon to stop it floating away.

What will my balloon gift look like?

Our balloons are carefully placed into boxes. These are lined with coloured tissue paper then sparkling contrasting confetti, chocolates, party poppers and a gift card with your personal message are placed inside. We will then complete the box with colour coordinated ribbon and bow! Once completed your order will be dispatched for delivery in accordance with "your delivery option" requested at checkout.
If required we offer the option on checkout to have a plain white box and no ribbon for that extra special surprise!

Can my box be left in a “safe place” like a porch?

We want your balloon to reach you in the best condition possible. Helium is sensitive to temperature changes, so to ensure your balloon is at its best we recommend your parcel is taken in by a neighbour if you are not home and not left outside.

What if nobody is home?

A card will be left giving instructions on where to collect the box or how to arrange re-delivery with Royal Mail / Parcel force. If you wish this to be left with a neighbour please advise in advance (via email) and a note can be placed on the box with this request. (There is no guarantee that this can always be done).

How do I know you have sent my order?

You will be sent a confirmation email from the courier as soon as your order has been dispatched.

Do you offer a Saturday delivery or special delivery option?

Yes. Please see our delivery information or delivery options at checkout.

What time will my balloons be delivered?

This all depends on the type of delivery you choose. Royal Mail and Parcel Force deliveries usually come between 7am – 6pm, or before 1pm if you choose the Royal Mail Special Delivery option at checkout.

Do you accept orders for anywhere in the UK?

Yes. We deliver to England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. However deliveries to remote areas and Scottish highlands and islands may take two to three days, so please leave plenty of time when placing your order.

When do I have to order for next day delivery?

If you place your order before 2.00 pm, we offer guaranteed next day delivery to most UK addresses except some remote parts of Scottish highlands and islands. For orders placed Saturday and Sunday the next delivery date would be Tuesday.

How will my balloon gift be delivered?

Your balloon gift will be sent using Royal Mail 24 HR tracked, or Parcel Force for larger items. You can have the gift delivered on the date of your choice (Monday to Saturday - except Bank Holidays). Royal Mail and Parcel Force can deliver any time through the day Monday to Friday. You will have the option at ‘checkout’ to upgrade to Royal Mail Special delivery Guaranteed where Royal Mail will deliver your gift before 1:00pm to most UK addresses if you need a more precise delivery option.

I live locally; can I collect my sash to save postage costs?

Yes, on the checkout page when you have completed your order, you will be given the option of “Collect in store” with no postage charges.

What colours do you offer?

We offer lots of different colour options for both the colour of ribbon used and the colour of text printed. These options can be seen on our ‘Design Your Own’ page.

Can I add images onto the sash?

Yes, you can choose for a large selection of clip art images on our ‘Design Your Own’ page.

Do they come in children’s sizes?

Yes, when placing your order, please specify the age and length you require your sash.

If I order a large quantity of sashes will there be any discount?

Yes, for larger orders please contact us and speak to a friendly member of staff who will be happy to assist you and give you a quote for the number of sash’s you require. Payment can then be taken over the phone and your order can be processed.

Can I buy 1 sash or do I have to order in bulk?

There is no minimum order on personalised sashes.

How is the sash fastened?

Our sashes are sent with two self-adhesive pieces of Velcro. We provide this so you can fasten the sash yourself to ensure a perfect fit.

Are you available on the phone if I need to discuss an order?

Yes we are available to chat about an order during our opening hours. Please find our telephone number and email address on the ‘contact us’ page. A member of our team will be happy to help.

What length will the sash be?

The approximate size for a standard adult sash is 150cm. This can be made longer or shorter is required and specified.

How much text can I fit onto a sash?

There is no limit to the amount of characters you can have printed onto your sash. Please note, the more text you have, the smaller it will be printed.
We are able to print on both sides of your sash for a small additional cost.

Can I return a personalised sash for a refund?

Unfortunately, personalised items are non-refundable. Personalised items cannot be returned as they cannot be re-used.

How much is postage?

Postage prices will differ depending on the quantity of sashes you order. Please see the delivery link for more information.

How long will it take for my sash to arrive?

All of our sashes are made the same day of order. On a Monday to Friday if sashes are ordered before 3pm we will dispatch your order 1st class with royal mail, the same day. For all orders made on a weekend we will dispatch the order 1st class royal mail on the following Monday.



  • Children can choke on deflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision is required.
  • Keep deflated balloons away from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
  • Never allow children to suck, chew or play with balloons.
  • Supervise your children at all times if they are playing with balloons.
  • Discard all broken pieces of balloons immediately.
  • Adults should always inflate balloons for children.
  • Balloons can spread germs. Never put a balloon in your mouth after it has been in someone else's mouth.
  • Some people are allergic to latex. Foil balloons are an excellent choice instead of latex balloons in this situation.
  • Try to keep balloons away from faces. If a balloon bursts it can hurt an eye or face.
  • When inflating balloons with air, it is better to use a hand-pump or an air inflater than blow them up orally as they may burst.
